What’s with all the TBD titles on the Switch eShop? Here’s what we know… [Round-up]

It seems there’s an increasing number of games listed as “TBD” on the Coming soon section of the eShop.

Many of these previously had dates attached to them but were expectedly pushed to the bottom of the list. Others may have been listed early, either to promote the games, increase anticipation levels, or perhaps in error.

Here’s a quick look at the current list.

Beach Buggy Racing

Originally this had a release date of 27th July; it disappeared on 19th July. Before it was updated to “TBD”, the price was listed as £9.99 (the price has since been removed). We asked Vector Unit for clarification, and here’s what they said:

Here’s the Switch trailer:

Brawlout

This popped up on 9th August in the “TBD” list. Angry Mob Games says “late 2017”; Wikipedia has put this down as Q4 2017. Here’s some more info:

Fire Emblem Warriors

This has a Japanese release date of 28th September, and a US/European release of Q3 2017. Here’s the E3 trailer from June:

NeuroVoider

Despite being in the “TBD” list, this title is currently due for release on 7th September. Here’s the trailer:

Physical Contact: 2048

After seeing the preview video and description for Physical Contact: Speed, plus also reading the poorly translated description, we’re not exactly in high hopes for this title. It’s listed as “TBA” on Wikipedia so we don’t know when it’ll be out. Here’s the Japanese trailer, the intro of which is basically the same as the trailer for Physical Contact: Speed.

Prodigy

This appeared on 11th August. Wikipedia has it down as “TBA”, so there’s not much information on this game yet. We asked Forever Entertainment for more details, and they replied – see below. Both Violett and Prodigy should arrive sometime in 2017.

Meanwhile, you can check out the following post from Switch Player for more details, including a teaser trailer.

Robonauts

This appeared alongside Prodigy on 11th August. Again, it’s listed as “TBA” on Wikipedia. We’ve asked Qubic Games for more details. Meanwhile, here’s a teaser trailer.

Sine Mora EX

This one was rather frustrating. On 9th August we spotted that Sine Mora EX had lost its release date of 8th August, and dropped into the “TBD” list. It’s not entirely surprising, as it had been widely reported that the game would launch on Switch a little later than on other platforms – so the eShop date was most likely an error. Still, it gave us false hope! It’s currently pegged for release in Q3 2017. Here’s the “reveal trailer” from April.

The Count Lucanor

Another title that popped up on 11th August, this one doesn’t have a release date as yet. We’ve asked Ratalaika Games for more details. Here’s a trailer, although note that this would be for the original “all platforms” release (pre-Switch):

This is the Police

Another game that appeared on 11th August, although this one we already had in our games database. There’s no exact release date yet, although it should land sometime in 2017. Here’s the official release trailer from March.

Violett

This showed up in the “TBD” list on 31st July. There’s no release date set as yet. We asked Forever Entertainment for details, and it looks like Violett should be coming sometime in 2017:

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

This is currently lined up for a Q4 2017 release. Here’s the E3 trailer from June.

And that’s all for now!
